Introduction
My journey to Cyprus began in a Malibu church in 1984, the height of the New Age Movement. There, I was confronted with a feminist view of Hellenism by Jean Shinoda Bolen, author of Goddesses in Every Woman. She told us expectant vessels, inseminated with the seed of an unnamed emergent archetype, about the Greek atrocity of splitting the all-powerful Goddess into seven different characters represented by asteroids because the one feminine deity was too powerful for their phallic bearing. In the discussion to follow, I challenged the author: “Why is it important for us to know about the Greek goddesses at this time in history?” The answer didn’t come from the speaker, but the audience. “She didn’t answer it!” declared a woman with long locks of sun-bleached controlled messiness, flowing “goddess” frock and combat boots. Surprise! I found my image! We were two priestesses on the eighties New Age quest for the once and future Aquarian icon…why dwell in the the past?
Cyprus archeology cannot be approached without the anthropological, just as the multicultural mythology of the island’s indigenous hieros gamos religion cannot be approached without a holistic philosophy. I was ready for this after decades of independently researching the hieros gamos religion at the birth of human civilization in Mesopotamia. My introduction to the Cyprus Dispute came about through a Game Theory seminar in college; the binary (X/0) was prescient of the digital code, one side pitted against the other. No code to signify the in-between was manifest in a temporary solution turned permanent in the form of a Buffer Zone. Synchronistically, this text took ten years of germination for the arrival of the quantum providing the holistic language of text/image (fig. 49).
The unexpected arrival of the cosmic Third in the enigmatic form of 3I Atlas (fig. 47) catalyzed the impetus to launch a publishing company devoted to quantum narrative with this book. What better sign than this to confirm a theory of the Third based on co-creation? This book presents a thesis of the hieros gamos developed over three decades as a literary experiment leading to a profession as art critic and curator. The Third was formulated in a media laboratory in the Swiss Alps, introducing astrology as apparatus of hermeneutics. This text applies the Science of Magic OMBODIMENT™️ system to the reclamation of Lucifer as the Morning Star decreed by birthright (Appendix 1).
Hermes is the patron of alchemy guiding the Möbius strip between subject and object. The intersection of the vertical (As Above. so Below) and horizontal (So Within, so Without) sums up the Cyprus paradox: the third solution embodied in a secreted Cypriot artifact (fig. 1) reflecting the hidden ontology demonstrated in the mathematics of the Venus orbit: official (Morning Star) face of the Greek-speaking Cypriot and the hidden (Evening Star) face of the Turkish-speaking Cypriot.
